News in Northern Ireland RegionSwing some cash for charity with first tee, then dinnerSun 18 September 2011 Date: Tuesday, 20th September 2011 Location: Holywood Golf Club, County Down Cost: £160 for 4 Ball (Includes a one-course dinner with tea and coffee on return to the Club House) Every week in Northern Ireland three children, teenagers and young adults are diagnosed with cancer. For these families life will change dramatically. NI Cancer Fund for Children is here to listen, to help and support. Hearing of the wonderful work NICFC do, FSB member, Paul Thompson of Thompson Fixings has generously offered to sponsor a Golf Day in aid of NICFC. By attending you not only enjoy a great game of golf at the home of the newly crowned US Open golf champion Rory McIlroy but also contribute to providing vital support to young local cancer sufferers and their entire family. Paul tells us why he felt compelled to help - "During a recent FSB member event, I heard about the work NI Cancer Fund for Children – providing emotional and financial support for children, young adults and their families. This moved me to think how, as a business I could help. I decided on a Golf Day for the charity. With the support of the FSB, NICFC and Holywood Golf Club, I am now looking forward to a wonderful day's golf, while helping a very worthy local charity"
There will be a raffle on the day with a prize already sponsored by H&J Martin and many sponsorship opportunities still available. Get in touch by contacting Stephen Blayney if you'd like to become involved. All proceeds (after catering) to the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC) To book a 4-Ball at the ‘First tee, then dinner' event please contact Paul Thompson on 028 9181 3399 |
